Hi, I’m Jacie, a mother of two beautiful babies and the founder of Clean Like A Mother.

I wanted to give clients some insight on why I started this business, and why I chose this name for the business. 

Juggling motherhood, a full time career and the whirlwind of modern life, my life is busy yet wonderful.  I recently experienced a “take the plunge” moment to start a business, a goal I have had since college. I was searching for a business model that checked the most important boxes: it had to accommodate my current life structure, provide financial support for my family, make use of my skills and provide genuine value to the community. I didn’t have to look far for inspiration. I immediately thought about my mom, recalling all the moves she made when she was my age raising four kids.

My Mom 
 

Is a superwoman, the powerhouse of mothers. She was the household manager, the engine, backbone and heart of the family, multitasking all the responsibilities she had as an adult and as a parent. To this day, she is still all of those things!  My mother’s standard of clean is the highest standard I’ve experienced, she was the one paying attention to all the details of our home, seeing the house from all angles, tending to all the messes. She truly knew what it took to actually make something “clean” (especially with toddlers and pets in the mix).

When she was in the thick of it as a young mom, she made total entrepreneur moves and launched her own cleaning business at thirty while managing a household of six. Cleaning was something that fit her life structure at the time, she saw there was a need for cleaning services in my hometown, she took interest in cleaning professionally and with all that put together, it became her very successful career. I worked for my mother’s cleaning business starting at the age of 12, some of my first true work experience was cleaning homes. I’ve cleaned in so many settings - old, new, small, large, maintenance cleaning, deep cleaning, construction cleaning, you name it. I didn’t just learn how to clean; I absorbed her standards, her techniques, and her reputation for excellence.

 

The Launch of Clean Like A Mother
 

With my mother as my inspiration and realizing the experience, sense, and skills to clean professionally and manage this as a business, I decided to take the plunge and launch Clean Like A Mother in May 2025.

All the more reason for me to select this path: cleaning is deeply satisfying and therapeutic for me. I love cleaning because I love the direct results and overall impact of a clean space, especially the sense of accomplishment, relief and clear mindset. There are many ways to make a positive impact on someone’s life, but I’d argue that cleaning is at the top of the ladder. To me, it is one of the highest acts of kindness, care, and support.
 

I chose this business name because it was the perfect description of what we bring to the table, why and how. The name started as a reactionary catchphrase: “wow, this house is clean as a mother…” you get it. But the more I said it, the more I realized it perfectly captured our entire model: the inspiration, the foundation, our style, our standards, our mission, and our purpose.
